Alaina + Brian {Sioux Falls Wedding Photography}

Alaina and Brian’s wedding was at the first wedding I photographed after my own wedding.  Of course, I noticed a lot more after going through my own wedding day as a bride myself, and let me tell you – Alaina did such an amazing job planning her big day.  From the incredible details like the personalized hangers for each bridesmaid and the mismatched shoes to go with their beautiful dresses, to the delicious homemade delicacies like homemade pies and cake pops, this wedding was one of the most impressive ones I’ve been to!  Everything was perfect, from the beginning of the day to the end of the reception.  I was truly blown away by all of the intriguing and inspiring things that caught my attention.  It was a photographer’s heaven!

To top it all off, Alaina made one beautiful bride.  She was flawless in every way, just like her wedding day.  Brian is a lucky guy!  I am so happy for both of them for continuing forth in this journey called LOVE. Congratulations!

Kelley + Brian :: E-Session {Sioux Falls Wedding Photography}

Kelley and Brian met up with me on a sunny fall evening.  They pulled their fishing poles out of their truck, hoping to use them as a prop in their engagement photos, since fishing is a big part of both their lives and they are having a very creative and clever theme at their wedding involving the phrase, “Hooked on Love”.  It’s always fun when couples bring along props to personalize their engagement photos, and even their wedding photos!  It’s highly encouraged to get creative and think of what you can and have some fun with!

Kelley has the most beautiful blue eyes!  She is strikingly beautiful, and seemed to feel so comfortable in Brian’s arms.  These two are totally meant for each other, and I look forward to their wedding this spring.

Some 2011 favorite moments…

2011 went by so fast!

It was a year full of important happenings and meaningful memories.

For both myself and for my clients.  Many of them got married, had babies, bought a house, moved far away or closer to family, and so much more.

I got married myself, as well as bought a house and got a puppy.  Those personal things of mine that happened in 2011 are for a completely different blog post.

 This post is dedicated to some favorite moments from such an exciting year.

I truly appreciate my clients for having faith in me to step into and be a part of their relationships, their wedding day, and their lives while sharing their most intimate and precious memories.

I want to say THANK YOU so much, from the bottom of my heart.

May you have an amazing 2012!

Delia & Luke :: E-Session {Sioux Falls Wedding Photography}

She’s super cute, smart, kind, bubbly, and the list could go on and on.  He’s sweet, charming, handsome, really tall, and treats Delia like a queen.  They are totally meant for each other, and it’s no wonder they are getting married in April.  I had the pleasure of spending a couple of hours with them and taking their engagement photos.  Delia also was lucky enough to book the amazing Angelique Verver of Platinum Imagination for her wedding, as well as her engagement session.  I am so excited to be able to work with Angelique again, she really is a great investment for your wedding.  Taking care of your every need with hair and makeup on your wedding day, reducing the stress and upping the calm… I wouldn’t say so if I didn’t truly mean it!

Here are some of my favorites from Delia and Luke’s session.  Looking forward to seeing them again in April!!

AJ :: Sioux Falls Family Portraits

It was such a joy meeting up with Avery “AJ” and his mom Orianna at the park on a pretty fall day.  AJ was just getting over a nasty cold, so he still was a little stuffy and not feeling the greatest.  However, he is such a doll, it was not hard at all to get some adorable pics of him in his cute little outfits.  Orianna and her husband are expecting another bundle joy in February, and I just can’t wait to meet the new addition!

Tarra & Josh :: E-Session {Sioux Falls Wedding Photography}

Tarra and Josh met me downtown Sioux Falls with their adorable little dog to get their engagement pictures taken.  It was a pretty windy evening, but luckily we were able to use it to our advantage for most of the pics.  I really enjoyed their company and feel so lucky to have such happy-go-lucky, down-to-earth couples to work with.  We moved on from downtown to a park for some more rural shots, and finished up with a beautiful sunset :)  Looking forward to their wedding in 2012!

Phoenix & Chloe :: Cousins & Besties {Sioux Falls Family Portraits}

My friend Becca has the cutest kid.  I’ve had the pleasure of taking his pictures before, so I was very excited to see them again to get some new photos taken this year.  This time Becca brought along her sister and Phoenix’s best friend and cousin, Chloe!  Her beautiful curly hair and sparking blue eyes were so sweet.  What an adorable little pair they are, too.  Following each other around everywhere, and really having fun in front of the camera.  Here are a few of my favorites from the session.  I look forward to taking more pictures of them in the future as they grow.

Laura :: Class of 2012 {Sioux Falls Senior Portraits}

I had so much fun with Laura on her senior shoot.  We started out at the park and walked around on the bike trails, then hit up some downtown spots for some variation at the end.  She is just as beautiful as her sister, Megan, whose wedding I shot back in July!

She said she never had any experience getting her pictures taken, but she could have fooled me :)  A natural talent in front of the camera for sure!

Best of luck to you, Laura, in all that is waiting for you to discover after your senior year.
